John Hancock has announced “gender-distinct pricing, reflecting
the male/female differences in the probability of benefit usage.”
Gender-distinct pricing is not in affect in California. (I am checking to see if CA has regulations against gender-distinct pricing.) Only
the Compact states of: Alabama, Alaska, Colorado,
Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland,
Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New
Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania,
Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia,
Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming.
Additional states will be included upon approval. However,
Montana will remain with unisex rates, as it does not permit gender-distinct
rates.
